Right now the version for how to deploy the Agent on Windows without Cygwin. As I mentioned in my post “OEM 12c Agent Deoploy on Windows – no problem with Cygwin!” before, there are several and good reasons to look closer into Cygwin. The following Solution, I call it the dirty way, isn’t probably feasible for long-term deployment of several machines, but if it’s you choise, you’re welcome.

Even though Oracle enhances the restore or fault tolerance capabilities with every release there are still fatal errors which lead into a major outage of the database. Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c offers an easy way to add various targets with the Add Targets Wizard over the GUI. Beside normal hosts, databases, listeners and ASM also Exadatas, Middlware, Cluster Services and many more, espacially for monitoring and also with more or less configuration options. But if you want to integrate a simple server first, you need a so called Agent. The agent is an application which monitores directly on the host and communicates with the Enterprise Manager.
